So my second day in Seattle is over and so is Day 1 of PAX2010. I had too much fun partying at the pre pax parties to take advantage of the parties this evening.
So here my summary of my day.
I finally got up and moving around 2ish. Needed to get my pass for pax. Finally figured out that I needed to go to the Sheraton to get my pass. No physical passes left, so I got a wristband. OK so off to find some food and hit the floor. And lucky me I ran into Alex Albrect from Totally Rad Show and DiggNation. Always a pleasure to see him. Chatted a couple min and off I went.
I headed to the con and I see a group of people that look like protesters. It turnes out it was a group from rebuildbrotherhood.org a really cool marketing campaign for Assassins Creed Brotherhood.
Into the mainhall I went. First stop was PAX10 area. Lots of good games. But I was mainly there to see Retro City Rampage. Good to see Brian the creator of the title and former coworker.
I spent the next hour or so wandering the hall. Was cool to see Ubisoft having 3 booths and right near them was the Tron booth. They have an epic recreation of the bike.
Trions booth is bigger then I expected and had some hot booth babes standing around. Not many people playing their games. But I did get my hands on beta keys for their two games.
Spent 15min playing SWTOR. Got to play as a trooper and it was awesome. Looking forward to playing the game a little more.
After that I met up with more people from GGM and talked to some Bioware staff at the Dragon Age 2 booth. Took some pictures for some friends and then headed towards the Nvidia booth where I snagged a Nvidia Snuggie which I am wearing while updating.
That was it n the con for me and went back to the hotel room where I napped until afew friends got out of some panels.
More to come tomorrow if I am still walking post CCP party.
I apologize about the quality of this post. I am typing on althe touch screen of my phone.

Nice to see something coming from from these guys. Ever since the original announcement I kind of forgot about this game. Looks pretty good and I am ready to read everyones “This looks like WoW” comparisons.

After being spammed over 50 times with “You account has been updated” emails from Star Wars the Old Republics website. I was starting to get fed up with these screens on the site.
Many times did I get through the first section of the process to get nailed with the start of the application process all over again. I continued typing that information and was do I see? I see the bar look like it’s going to load something. But alas I am back to the “Do you accepts these terms and services” screen.
Finally I decided it was time to try some of the quick spamming of links, and clicking on everything. Eventually I got to this screen.
OMG!! I said and promptly started updating account info. Changing my country and phone number was easy enough. Man was I wrong. The Java application that they use did not like any of my browsers. Making myself lose the current stream of data going into the site, and having to start over again.
Deciding that I would start by looking at accounts control panel I noticed something a little different about it. It asked for my info again but it was different. I re-downloaded the system spec sniffer they used but this time in Firefox, and once it was all said and done I had this!
Funny thing is, that one of the first posts on my site was a rumor post about SWTOR. Shitty part is the good long winded one is nowhere to be found from when I first started Gamersmind but my post from July 10th 2007 is still kicking around.
When I wrote that post it was in hopes that Bioware would have announced the game by Leipzig that year. Sadly the did not.
Anyways I am all signed up, to probably the most anticipated game I have ever waited for. Hope it can live up to my expectations, I am sure it will as Bioware hasn’t really failed me yet.

However this post is mainly so I remember a link but also to get the info out to up and coming assassins. If you have not read this post get over to Aionsource.com and read this guide from F8L Fool Assassin FAQ – Compendium of a Sin

Well thanks to Vivox and GameBreakr I happened to get myself a free copy of Fallen Earth and a 3 month game time card. This is going to be awesome! So I haven’t played FE since the Gamespot Alpha so I don’t exactly know what I am going to be doing in game.
First step. Read up on the game and how the mechanics work. Check.
I can do that at Globaltech ATLAS and the FallenEarthDB.
Also need to go through this site a little.
Then it will be time to hit their forums and find some new friends. This could be difficult. People do not trust too easily these days.
Anyways expect some updates once I am in game, cause I am looking forward to this.
And for you peoples who have no clue what Fallen Earth is here is a video of it. I do not know how old this video is but you will get the point.

This is probably the best thing I have seen on the internet in a while. I am very thankful this was made.

A while back there was an article up on Gamasutra that I book marked with the intent to read and give some thoughts on. Today I clicked that link and read it.
It’s called ‘Quality Quality Assurance: A Methodology for Wide-Spectrum Game Testing’ by David Wilson. Who is noted to be a QA vet from Nintendo and Microsoft who is currently at ArenaNet.
Anyone in the game industry or anyone who has any interest in the development process should read this gem of info. I wanted to say more but he basically says everything I tell my managers when I am leading a team.
So go check this article out it’s quite good.

For some god awful reason Blizzard has decided to screw over the lan gamers, cyber cafes and most male Koreans aged 10-40. Multiple sources have quoted Rob Pardo saying there won’t be lan support for the upcoming StarCraft 2.
I don’t know about you but StarCraft on LAN is the only way I would play that game. Let’s hope Blizzard knows how much the LAN party community and LAN tourny players got screwed with that one. I have a feeling a quick patch will be released or someone in the community will mod it.
Still think Blizzard should support it on their own.

Sounds great doesn’t it? Even though she is not baring it all, you should still support her by grabbing the mag. Maybe next time eh?
